Raising copper cups

Raising two copper cups
It's been a funny week here in sleepy Buckinghamshire it is the bringing of spring, well May, started off cold and windy. Two weeks later hot with bright blue skies and hot with all the flowers and insects in fall-spring growth, just a normal start to May in England.
Also, I've carried on experimenting with Raising copper cups, which went well as long as you keep learning and progressing, hammering of the copper changed a little bit and the thickness of the copper just to see if this would make a difference to the all offer effect of the finishing texture.
So I did this in two parts the small copper cups I'm going to call the shot cup and the larger cup I'm going to call the Tumblr.
Part one. shot cup.
Took 1mm thickness copper and cut a 4-inch disc, hammer the disc into a shallow bowl to start the profile of the cup then annealed. Used a 1 1/2 inch former to set the base of the shot cup now I'm ready to start the rising of the cup turn it over and start hammering around the base slowly hammering around the cup. Repeated this at least 15 times not forgetting to see to alter the base every time. With this cup, I finished on a wooden former to bring the copper in and to give a good profile that fits in the hand nicely. I left the shot cup raw or un peened for texture.
Started off with a 4-inch disc and stretched the cup to six inches.
Part two, the Tumblr
Stated with a 5-inch copper disc with 0.75mm thickness of copper. hammered the disc into a shallow bowl to start the profile of the cup then annealed. Used a two-inch former to set the base of the Tumblr now I'm ready to start the rising of the Tumblr turned it over and started hammering around the base slowly hammering around the cup. Repeated this at least 15 "might of forgot how many times", not forgetting to re-adjust the base every time.
I did something a little bit different with the Tumblr, I used different peening hammers to alter the effect and smooth the outside, this effect was apparent because this is how the coppersmiths and silversmiths smooth them professionally so I'm doing something quite she's quite good and positive.
I started with a five-inch disc and stretched it out to exactly seven inches.
